INVOLVE's national conferences bring together people with a common interest in public involvement in NHS, public health and social care research. This 8th biennial conference aims to encourage critical thinking and discussion about:
The conference takes place over two days. We will start at 12 noon on Tuesday 13 November and finish at 4.00pm on Wednesday 14 November 2012. There will be time to listen, reflect, debate and network. Some rooms will also be available free of charge on Tuesday morning for groups wanting to meet before the conference. For more information on booking a pre-conference room contact Rosemary McMahon at Professional Briefings (contact details). We hope that many of you will want to reply to this call for presentations and apply to present at one of the sessions.
|We are returning this year to the East Midlands Conference Centre. It is a modern and accessible venue near to Nottingham city centre and major road, rail, bus and air links. If you travel by car there are a large number of parking spaces, including designated disabled parking bays, at the conference centre (accessibility report).|
|This is a non-profit making conference and all presenters are expected to book and pay a conference fee.
INVOLVE does though have a small conference fund to help people from local, voluntary and community organisations, self-help groups and individual members of the public attending and presenting at the conference. You can apply to the conference fund for help covering the cost of the conference fees, care assistance, travel, accommodation and any other reasonable expenses.
