East Midlands Health Innovation and Education is joining forces with the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) to offer a unique day, lifting the lid on health research in this region
The NIHR is already our single biggest funder of health research. In two years it has changed the landscape across the country, and accelerated research and development in the NHS by launching a wide range of schemes. As a result, there is now more clinical and applied research commissioned in our region than ever before.
This event will explain the big picture for East Midlands. It will help NHS managers, clinicians and clinical academics to better understand how the different parts of the NIHR fit together, and the range of NIHR resources, funding streams and support now available.
In addition to the plenary sessions, throughout the day delegates can visit an NIHR exhibition where they can obtain information, talk to representatives from the different programmes and coordinating centres, and view on-line demonstrations. Delegates can also choose two inter-active seminars of personal interest.
